Street Paving & Maintenance

Due to the seasonal weather changes and utility construction and repair it is necessary for our public roads to be repaved. You can request this and the filling of pot-holes within the village by contacting the Village Manager's office (201) 670-5500 ext. 203 and notify them of the location you wish to have repaired.

Snow Plowing? How much does this cost the vilalge, and how effective is it. Every year I am able to get from one end of town to the other and the maintenance crew does an excellent job of clearing the primary roads throughout the village. But what about the side streets? They are plowed once or twice during snow fall and notorious for re-blocking cleared driveways, however, every year there is always a 3" - 6" layer of ice on my and surround side streets. Attaching plows to a couple of our already owned Village trucks and making employees already on payroll return to these streets may further reduce this problem. Of course, one would have to consider the increase gas cost, and time it would take to complete this.
